Tampa Bay's Brewery Guide

Celebrate American Craft Beer Week Tampa Bay style

For those of you who have been living under a rock, it’s American Craft Beer Week. Don’t worry if you missed the memo — you have all week to celebrate!

Many of our Tampa Bay breweries have created special batches for this annual occasion and are bringing you new beers to celebrate a week that — for most of us — is the same as every other week.

Big Top Brewing Company

Big Top will be tapping three new beers over the next week! They’re starting off with their Caramel Mocha Porter (drool) along with flights that are only $5 all week.

7venth Sun Brewing Company

They’ll be tapping special beers all week to celebrate starting with A Beer Named Sue  — a Cigar City/7venth Sun/Cycle/JWB Prickly Pear Berliner Weisse collaboration dedicated to Sue Muntner.

They’ll also be serving up their Barrel Aged Saison Beams (Trinity Brewing Collab), which is a hoppy Yuzu Saison. Look for several fruited variants of the BA Sour Brown this week including Tentacles — cherry, raspberry, blackberry and boysenberry.

Green Bench Brewing Company

On Friday, Green Bench will be releasing their collaboration, Florida Poster Girls, with Wild Oak Artisan Ales. Party starts at 6 PM.

The Brewery Bay is also co-hosting the Tampa Bay Rays Watch Party on Saturday starting at 2 PM. Come watch the Rays take on the Minnesota Twins!

Green Bench will provide a $1-off discount for those wearing Rays gear, including X-Rays Spex’s very own Rays-inspired designs.

Mastry’s Brewing Company

Mastry’s is doing a release of their Strong Scotch Ale to start the celebration! It’s sitting at a solid 5.9% ABV and 48.8 IBU. Next up: their Grapefruit IPA.

Motorworks Brewing Company

Motoworks is kicking off American Craft Beer Week with their Morita Tequila Imperial Amber Ale.

Dunedin Brewery

Dunedin Brewery will have new beers going on all week. They’re starting with this year’s batch of Local Honey and their Hefe Man — a hefeweizen with orange peel. They’ve also just released their Rain Turtle with a touch of sea salt, peppercorn and lime. Cilantro swamp optional.

Brewer’s Tasting Room

Brewers Tasting Room will be giving away a few interesting beers — one bomber a day for seven days. In order to participate, stop by BTR and receive a free raffle ticket with every beer purchase. They’ll draw names every night at closing time and will post results on their Facebook page. Go win some beer!

Lagerhaus Brewery and Grill

Many of you have been wondering when Lagerhaus’ Tangerine Hefeweizen combined with the flavors of a true Bavarian Hefeweizen is going to be back. Well, it’ll be here Thursday just in time for American Craft Beer Week!

Ulele

Celebrate American Craft Beer Week with one of Ulele’s signature beers by brewmaster Timothy A. Shackton, including their latest offerings:

Vanilla Barrel Beer: A strong lager infused with a blend of Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla and Ugandan Vanilla beans, aged in light toast American Oak. A must have for Vanilla fans, and available throughout May.

Maple Infused Black Beer: An aged Black Lager infused with Vermont Maple Syrup.

JDub’s Brewing Company

Come to JDub’s this Saturday for a Barks & Brews adoption event and adopt Hensel, a Chihuahua/Short Coat/Mix. Although he may have one eye, he certainly has a whole heart!

While you’re playing with him and other dogs who need a home, enjoy a beer they named for this guy, a Citrus Wheat Ale called “Hensel’s One Eye Wheat.” The HSSC adoption van will be parked out front of the brewery!

Three Palms Brewing

Three Palms is continuing the celebration of ‪American Craft Beer Week‬ with the release of four new treated kegs of “Get Up & Gose!” They will have a keg of Cranberry, Pineapple, Tart Cherry and Mango.

ESB Brewing Company

ESB‘s Strawberry Vanilla Ice Cream Wheat Ale will be ready to tap on Friday. Ice cream + craft beer = the perfect combination of flavor.

However you decide to celebrate, please drink responsibly! What are you drinking this week? Let us know.
